Olivia Holter, PhD.

Dr. Olivia Holter is a dually credentialed Licensed Psychologist and School Psychologist. She completed her Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of Montana and completed her APA-approved predoctoral internship at Illinois State University’s Psychological Services Center. Dr. Holter identifies as a scientist practitioner who uses research to guide her clinical work. Dr. Holter works with people across the lifespan, ages 3-100. Although she would consider herself a “generalist,” working with people with a variety of different disorders and difficulties, she has specialties in working with people with Anxiety Disorders, Depression, OCD, Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Trauma, including people who have experienced sexual assault and interpersonal violence. In her therapeutic work, Dr. Holter prides herself on providing a culturally responsive, interpersonal approach to evidence-based treatments including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). As a prospective client, you can expect to work with Dr. Holter towards building a strong therapeutic alliance where you can learn, grow, heal, and make positive changes in your life.
Dr. Holter also provides psychological assessment for people experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral issues including neurodevelopmental disabilities.
